**Piggies**

Earlier this year my little E got a mild ear infection and was prescribed antibiotics, so she had to stay home from school the following day. She was a little bummed so I decided to take her for her first PEDICURE! She had a blast and I was kicking myself for forgetting to bring my camera. Her nail tech treated her like a little princess, it was so cute. They gave her a water in a little goblet and wrapped up her hair like she was at a spa. Well I didn't get before or during pictures but I did get after pics! I knew exactily which papers I'd be using for this LO. Crate Papers: Paper Dolls, these papers had to be made with E in mind ;0). Visit  my gallery to see a full list of products used.

I used stickles and glossy accents to jazz up the baby doll". I designed this LO from a sketch a friend of mind found.

Spring Fever!

I love those first few days of Spring when the kids can go out an play, ride their bikes & scooters, play at the park, and climb a tree. I usually in enjoy watching from a comfortable chair, peeking over the latest issue of one my favorite scrapbook magazines and sipping on a Sierra Mist.
During the first few weeks of Spring, the weather here was back and forth. One day it would be warm and breezy in the hi 70s and the next day it would be freezing cold in the lo 50s. After a few days of cold weather we finally got a warm sunny day, the flowers were blooming on the trees, insects were coming out, birds were everywhere and the kids on my street were so excited to be outdoors.

For this LO I used Fancy Pants: Sweet Spring Line. Kaydee, Marli, Abbi, & Sweet Spring Alpha.
Thickers alpha's, Glimmer mist: Black magic. The masking kind of happened on accident. I was trying to spray the yellow background paper because I thought it was too bright and didn't see the piece of paper covering one of strips.  After I saw the result I decided to give it a try on purpose and used little pieces of paper and paperclips.
Here's a sketch I created and used for this LO.

A 2 Pager!

I haven't created a two page LO is soooooo long. Luckily my friend Andrea issued a challenge to a few of us using a 2 page sketch (forgive me I forget who it was by). I love the sketch she chose and I immediately knew which pictures I wanted to use for it. A total of 11 pictures in one LO!

I used BoBunny: Mango Luau Collection Papers

Oh yeah here's the SKETCH!!

Here's the sketch I created for this LO.... as you can see I don't always follow my sketches to the T. My process is this: I take the pictures, develop thems, sketch a LO specifically for those picturers and then I get out the paper, scissors and glue. Most all of the time as I am creating I change things here and there.

TGIF- and my latest Sketch!

This week in my area has been cold and wet! But today the sun shinning, there's a nice subtle breeze blowing, and best of all TGIF! Thank goodness it's FRIDAY! I've been sketching all week at work during quiet time, but haven't had time to do any LOs until last night. So here it is: Sketch 7

Here's my take on the sketch: A LO of my oldest daughter. For her 10th birthday she wanted a Nintendo DSI. They run $170. I thought in my infinite wisdom that if I gave her the actual cash she'd see how much it cost and realize she could do a lot more with the money instead of buying just one thing. Check out the LO to see if my diabolical plan worked:

Yup she rushed right out and to get the DSI! I was disappointed but she was extremely happy!
I used all My Little Shoebox papere products on this LO. I also used my other two favorite applications *STICKLES* and *GLOSSY ACCENTS* and Bling by Recollections.

Giggly Girls

My daughters almost constantly keep me laughing. THey are so very silly and I love that about them. This winter during our huge snow storm, they got to go out an dplay in th snow several times. I noticed how after they would come in their little cheeks would be bright pink! I had to take pictures of them. While I was trying to get the shots Ryene said something to Erynn that started the giggle fest! They could hardly stop laughing.
The papers used in this LO are Me & My BIG Ideas- Sassy Collection from Joanns. I liked it because the colors were so bright and fun and I'd always stayed away from these types of colors. But an artist I admire over on SB.com inspired me to go ahead and give it a go.

Question: Have you ever been working on a LO and started adding the embellishments and COULDN'T STOP? That's what happened to me on this one. LOL TFL!
Here is a close up of the pictures, so you can see those cheeks and butterflies. You can hardly tell from the picutres but the butterflies have Glossy Accents on them. ::I love the stuff::

I'm a sketchin' machine!!

Not really, but it sure feels like it. I guess I've got alot of pinned up creativity and this week I actually had time to create LO's form the sketches I've bene creating over the past few weeks.  Everything seemed to all fall into place, all of my orders came by Saturday, everything that needed be done around the house was done early, basketball games were on to keep hubby's attention, the girls had play dates...it was the perfect weekend! I can't believe I got 3 LOs done so far! Here's the 3rd.

And here is the LO I created:

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE  the new collections from My Little Shoebox. In this LO I used the Just Add Butter Line. How perfect for these pictures!

My 2nd Sketch!!

I think I'm on to something..not only does drawing out my sketch for LO help me put LO's together faster but I didn't consider that other people would enjoy my sketches. Today I did a LO of my DD Ryene on her 10th birthday....Birthday's are always bittersweet for me. I enjoy and feel blessed each time one of my girls reaches that milestone. But I'm always a little sad, I really can't expalin why. This birthday had the same effect. To create my sketches I start with what photo's I plan to use then I go from there. I've also noticed when I start a LO from a sketch it often changes as I'm doing it.  So the actual LO becomes a  variation of the sketch.
And here is the LO I created after drawing out this sketch

My First Sketch!!!

Sketching scrapbook layouts is new to me but I have found it to be very helpful! When I get an idea and I don't have time to sit down right away and scrap it, I draw a sketch to remind me later when I do have time. This is my 3rd sketch actually but the first two were very specific and Idid't keep them once I scapped the LO. So here it is:

I created the sketch around April 1st and FINALLY had time to sit down and create, here's what came out:
