Rose Tutorial

To make this rose and the one on my ::Sanders Family:: LO, I used the basic instructions from the CK magazine March/April 2010 issue by Stacy Cohen. So first here are the supplies I used:

A 4 x4 inch sheet of light weight paper (cardstock is too heavy but can be done)
Takcy Glue
A pencil
Scissors
Ink Pad
Stickles to match your paper
Glimmermist

Next you want to cut out roughly a 4x4 inch piece of paper you want to use to make the rose. What's relaly great about this project is you can use scraps
Draw a spiral on it and cut out in a wavy pattern

Once you have the spiral cut out you can ink the edges for definition. You can use just about any brand of ink you'd like.
Starting with the outter end, start rolling the paper around toward the middle

Once you get get close to the end add a big drop of glue on the bottom, I used tacky glue as opposed to glue dots or any tape ahesive, because the glue allows the paper to move. Adhere the rolled part of the flower to the center of the spiral and gently allow the flower to unfold to your liking.

I let the flower set for about 2-3 minutes and I add a couple of spritz of ::glimmer mist::  and line the edges with ::stickles:: (two of my favorite products) I've also thought about adding ::glossy accents:: to immitate dew drops.

To ahere the rose to my LOs I add a large ::glue dots:: to the bottom
Thanks for looking!
